KIVERN

Support

Kivern is a floating timer for the Mac, with Stopwatch, Timer, and Pomodoro. It runs on macOS 14 or later, with no account and no internet connection.

Getting started

Shortcuts

All can be changed in Settings → Shortcuts.

Frequently asked questions

I can't see the panel or can't click it.

Open the Kivern menu in the menu bar. If opacity is below 20% or click-through is on, "Restore Visibility" appears: it sets opacity to 100%, turns click-through off, and shows the panel. If the panel is only hidden, choose "Show HUD" or press ⇧⌘C.

I don't get an alert when time is up.

Notifications are off by default. Turn on Settings → General → Completion notifications. macOS asks for permission the first time a Timer or Pomodoro starts. If you declined, allow it in System Settings → Notifications → Kivern.

The Fluid style doesn't appear.

Fluid uses Metal to draw the liquid. On a Mac without support, the other four styles are still available.

How do I export my data?

The event log, opened from the panel, exports as TXT. Session History, opened from the menu bar, exports as CSV or JSON. You choose where to save.

How do I delete my history?

In Session History, delete one session at a time or choose "Clear History".

How do I remove Kivern?

Turn off "Open at Login" in Settings → General if it is on, then drag Kivern from Applications to the Trash. History stays stored on the Mac; to delete it too, choose "Clear History" before removing the app.

Privacy

Kivern collects no data. Preferences, sessions, and history stay on your Mac. Read the privacy policy: kivern.app/privacy
